The winner of the 2026 memorial award at St. Leo the Great is Michael Alfonso. Michael was selected by his teachers and the administration after meeting our criteria of excellent grades, commitment to community service, a passion and dedication to his sport and a reverence for Catholic education. At SLG, Mikey ran track and played basketball.

This summer he is volunteering at SLG for the CCD program, and “I Can Ride”, a charity which teaches disabled children to ride a bike. He will do crew over the summer and is also starting his own business!

We wish Mikey all the best as he begins this new chapter at Christian Brothers Academy.
